This is where you can learn all the skills involved in producing fantastic Artisan Breads, we will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about bread and cake baking.

About Us

I have been providing fine dining for over 19 years, with great success to our guests here at The Old Church Bed & Breakfast set within the quaint historic Village of Muirkirk, surrounded by the rolling Ayrshire uplands.

I have been baking and bread making for over thirty years at home, I have long had a passion to share my knowledge and skills with those around me, having been inspired by my Mother who was and is a great baker, especially all the sweet bakes.

..I love to share my knowledge and passion for Artisan Breads with those around me, bringing back the lost art of bread making and so started Lesley's Kitchen Scotland.

Think about it - processed bread contains anything from 14 - 27 ingredients, whereas 'real' bread only has 4! With flour, yeast, salt and water, mixed with a little elbow grease, know-how and time, you too can produce the most delicious bread ever tasted.

The courses are fun, interesting and a great learning experience, without breaking the bank to attain these long lost skills.

Why not make it a family day and make some scrumptious treats for your tea and enjoy each others company and we get to clean up the mess!

Lesleys Kitchen Bread School can accommodate up to four guests within our converted Church, although we usually bake with just four students.

Non-baking partners are also welcome - they can enjoy the Ayrshire countryside and all that Ayrshire has to offer, and can, of course, help with the tasting sessions!
